Habitat for Humanity Build
with Cisco

This week, members of the Right! Systems team joined forces with our partners at Cisco to volunteer with the Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity. Under the instruction of the incredible Habitat staff, we helped with the construction of a home that will soon go to a hard-working family from the area. While Habitat for Humanity has been rebuilding communities across the world since 1976, this is just a sneak peak at what they’re doing locally:

Habitat for Humanity of Tacoma/Pierce County partners with families in need to put them on a promising path towards homeownership. For more than 30 years, they’ve been building homes throughout the area and helped develop neighborhoods such as Swan Creek Lane, Tillicum, and Ainsworth Vista. Habitat staff works diligently with the future homeowners to place them in a house that meets all their unique needs and can ensure their success.

“Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability, and self-reliance they need to build a better life for themselves and their families.”

In addition to helping families, Habitat for Humanity is also committed to helping the environment. Environmental sustainability plays an important role when building Habitat homes.

·         More than 90% of all construction waste is recycled

·         All homes feature energy-efficient lighting, appliances, and heating systems

·         As of 2017, Habitat homes are Home Energy Rating System (HERS) certified

At RSI, we are proud of our communities and value the organizations that help our neighbors prosper. We are committed to continuing our work with these organizations to ensure a better future for everyone.
