Episode 11 of Right! Way Tech Radio features Erika Irby, Director of the WW ProPartner Program at Veeam and Co-Chair of their Women in Green Program. She shares with us her roles and responsibilities at Veeam as well as how she got her start in IT. Erika goes on to discuss the importance of the inclusion of women within the IT industry and how crucial it is for organizations to implement diversity in the workplace.

Erika also talks to us about Veeam’s Women in Green Program, which is an organization within Veeam led by both men and women devoted to the investment of time, resources, and networking opportunities for our female work population.
About Erika and Veeam
Erika Irby’s journey in IT and STEM-related fields has been a wonky one. Over her career, she has taken on a range of roles and industries, including education, instructional design, examination development, commercial trucking, and global IT distribution. Starting with a career as an English teacher, her passion for writing led her to marketing. Her passion for inspiring the greatness in others eventually led her to IT.
Currently, as the Director of the WW ProPartner Program, Erika has been living the IT dream at Veeam Software since 2014, where she has also held channel marketing, go-to-market, and product marketing roles. She is also the Co-Chair of Veeam’s inclusion and diversity group focused on empowering women, Women in Green.
She is active in the industry and purposefully visible. She believes in taking intelligent risks and is always moving forward. She was recently named to CRN’s 2019 Power100, a list of the 100 most powerful women in the channel and likes to talk on the topic of women in IT whenever she can.
